Signature of Generalized Gibbs Ensemble Deviation from Equilibrium: Negative Absorption Induced by a Local Quench

چکیده
When a parameter quench is performed in an isolated quantum system with complete set of constants motion, its out equilibrium dynamics considered to be well captured by the Generalized Gibbs Ensemble (GGE), characterized $\{\lambda_\alpha\}$ coefficients related motion. We determine most elementary GGE deviation from distribution that leads detectable effects. By quenching suitable local attractive potential one-dimensional electron system, resulting differs only one single $\lambda_{\alpha}$, corresponding emergence partially occupied bound state lying below fully continuum states. The effect shown induce optical gain, i.e., negative peak absorption spectrum, indicating stimulated emission radiation, enabling identify signatures fermionic systems through measurements. discuss implementation realistic setups.

Measuring effective temperatures in a generalized Gibbs ensemble.
The local physical properties of an isolated quantum statistical system in the stationary state reached long after a quench are generically described by the Gibbs ensemble, which involves only its Hamiltonian and the temperature as a parameter. If the system is instead integrable, additional quantities conserved by the dynamics intervene in the description of the stationary state. The resulting...
متن کاملGeneralized Gibbs canonical ensemble: A possible physical scenario
After reviewing some fundamental results derived from the introduction of the generalized Gibbs canonical ensemble, ω (E) = exp [−ηΘ(E)] /Z (η), such as the called thermodynamic uncertainty relation 〈δβδE〉 = 1+ ( ∂S/∂E ) 〈 δE 〉 , it is described a physical scenario where such a generalized ensemble naturally appears as a consequence of a modification of the energetic interchange mechanism betwe...
متن کاملGibbs vs. Non-Gibbs in the Equilibrium Ensemble Approach to Disordered Systems
We describe the salient ideas of the equilibrium ensemble approach to disordered systems, paying due attention to the appearance of non-Gibbsian measures. A canonical scheme of approximations — constrained annealing — is described and characterised in terms of a Gibbs’ variational principle for the free energy functional. It provides a family of increasing exact lower bounds of the quenched fre...
متن کاملA Large-deviation View on Dynamical Gibbs-non-gibbs Transitions
We develop a space-time large-deviation point of view on Gibbs-non-Gibbs transitions in spin systems subject to a stochastic spinflip dynamics. Using the general theory for large deviations of functionals of Markov processes outlined in a recent book by Feng and Kurtz, we show that the trajectory under the spin-flip dynamics of the empirical measure of the spins in a large block in Z satisfies ...
